In doing research for an article for AFP due out the beginning of July, I stumbled across the following statistic regarding the current trend of recruiting CFOs who were CPAs. According to Spencer Stuart, the number of CFO-CPAs among Fortune 1,000 companies has increased from 26% to 45% in less than three years. What are your thoughts about this trend?
–Do you believe this trend will continue?
–Would you get your CPA in order to stay on a CFO-career tract?
–What do you believe are the benefits of a CFO also being a CPA?
As soon as my article is published in the AFP newsletter, I’ll let you know and hang the link on my website.
