If you read last week’s tip on “Digital Dirt,” then you know the importance of having an online presence. One of the easiest ways to build that visibility is by setting up a blog.
A blog is a weBLOG, a mini website, that can (and should) be updated regularly. Blogs can be used to illustrate that you are at the forefront in thought leadership, develop virtual rapport with people who need to know about you, and allow you to convey your passion and personality in a way that traditional paper documents cannot.
If you know you need a web presence, but you are not ready to jump in with a web portfolio, a blog can be the foundation tool you use for building your online identity and establishing and/or managing your digital tracks.
